We offer a 380-acre secluded setting; ideal for providing the kind of archery hunting you are looking for. The property has diverse habitat for deer including upland and bottomland hardwood forests, 2 rivers, the Embarras and Little Embarras (pronounced Ambraw), and 37 strategically located food plots. All of this is connected to several thousand acres of wooded deer habitat in the river valley. We have owned this property for 35 years and have always carefully managed it for deer and other wildlife. Family and friends have hunted it on a limited basis all those years. Many great bucks have come off this property and surrounding area. Since 2010 we are offering this opportunity to a limited number of archery hunters who appreciate the challenge of hunting free roaming trophy whitetails in prime habitat.
Very comfortable lodging for up to 4 hunters is right on site. Limiting the number of hunters to only 4 at a time will allow each one to have nearly 100 acres to hunt.
Rates for 5-day hunts run from $2000 to $2500. We'd love to be part of your hunting experience with either full 5-day hunts or pro-rated by the day.
""If you are looking for a classic Midwestern whitetail hunt with excellent odds of taking a trophy buck, you won't find anywhere better than River Bottom Bucks. Deer numbers in the area are excellent, and with a balanced age structure, you can count on seeing plenty of mature animals during your hunt. Outfitter Bob Blair does an outstanding job managing his property, and his extensive network of food plots — combined with acorn-rich oak ridges, thick bedding areas and river bottom travel corridor — ensure the property holds plenty of deer at all times. In addition to top-flight hunting, the fact that River Bottom Bucks is a small outfitting operation allows them to provide personalized service to each client. Whether it is fine-tuning a treestand location or accommodating a special dietary request, the entire Blair family goes above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience."
